About - BC Marble Symposium

Founded by the non-profit BC Marble International Sculpture Association along with organizing sponsor BC Marble Products Ltd. with the co-operation of the Cowichan Valley Regional District (CVRD) and the Municipality of North Cowichan.

The BC Marble International Sculpture Symposium will take place August 11th 2018 to the September 9th 2018.

This year’s theme is “Oceans and Earth”

This symposium was the long time vision of local sculptor Daniel Cline. With the support and encouragement of Tom Smith and Steve Thorpe-Double of BC Marble Products and renown sculptor Jock Hildebrand was brought in with his previous symposium experience both attending and organizing. Joined in this adventure by Amy Melmoc of the CVRD (Cowichan Valley Regional District) and sculptor Micheal Kiss rounds out our team.
